LAVENDER SOAP
Lavender soap is an all time favourite and its uses are documented in many parts of the world. Used as a nosegay in the middle ages to ward off the fumes of badly drained cities; tied into the hair of brides to be; slipped under a pillow to aid sleep; to scent the bath water of princesses and parlour maids, and to hang in wardrobes to keep clothes fresh. Everyone who makes soap - makes a Lavender soap. And so do we!

Please note that this soap is normally manufactured as LAVENDER & MINT
This is a blend of Lavender and Peppermint essential oils.
This produces a really fresh and cooling soap

Lavender was used as an antiseptic in ancient Greek, Roman and Arabian medicines. Its genus name comes from the Latin lavare - to wash. It was also used as a bactericide to wash hospital sick rooms in ancient Persia, Greece and Rome. It is most commonly used as a soothing, relaxing additive in soap and massage oils, and is an ingredient in our Pioneer Massage Oil. Excellent after a long hard day, relaxing in the bath or shower. Lavender contains linalool, which is an effective insect repellent. For this reason it is included in our Pioneer Travellers Ointment for use against insect bites - and to ward off irritating midges and small stinging flies. This soap also contains Calendula petals and Rosemary seed infusion.
